We are proud to officially announce the launch of the Outlaw Championship Tournament, a premier event set to become a perennial showcase of elite senior hockey talent from across the region.

Taking place in Ottawa, Ontario in April 2026, this inaugural tournament will bring together top NPHL teams from both the Capital & Metropolitan and championship squads from varying senior leagues throughout the region. The Outlaw Championship Tournament is more than just a competition — it's a celebration of the grit, skill, and community that define senior hockey. This tournament will take place after our leagues playoffs.

Why “Outlaw”?
The name says it all. The Outlaw Championship Tournament is unaffiliated with Hockey Canada, operating outside the conventional system to give teams, players, and communities a new kind of platform — one built on freedom, competition, and respect for the grassroots game.

Outlaw represents independence — for leagues, for teams, and for players who want to compete on their own terms. This tournament celebrates those who’ve carved their own paths through senior hockey.

The Outlaw Championship is where true champions rise — not by who sanctions them, but by how they play the game.
The name reflects the spirit of the teams and players who have carved their own paths, defied the odds, and brought passion and pride to the ice, year after year. This tournament honors that legacy while looking ahead to a new era of high-level competition.
