Metropolitan Welcomes the Ironmen!

Welcome to the NPHL: Six Nations Ironmen Join the Metropolitan Division

The Northern Premier Hockey League (NPHL) is proud and thrilled to officially announce the addition of the Six Nations Ironmen to the Metropolitan Division for the upcoming season. This exciting development marks a new chapter not only for the Ironmen but for the league as a whole, as we continue to grow in strength, spirit, and competition.

A Powerhouse Joins the Fold

The Ironmen bring with them a rich tradition of hockey excellence and a deep-rooted passion for the game, cultivated in one of Canada’s most respected Indigenous communities. Known for their skill, physicality, and proud heritage, the Ironmen are set to make an immediate impact in what is already one of the most fiercely competitive divisions in the NPHL.

They will now lace up alongside rivals such as the Alvinston Killer Bees, Strathroy Jets, Tilbury Bluebirds, and Woodstock Lakers—teams known for their tenacity, talented rosters, and loyal fanbases.

Raising the Competitive Bar

Bringing a strong and established team like the Ironmen directly into our league is nothing short of exhilarating. Their entrance not only raises the competitive bar but injects new energy into our league’s dynamic, promising more electrifying matchups, spirited rivalries, and unforgettable moments on the ice. Fans should expect hard-hitting, high-octane action as the Ironmen bring their best against the cream of the crop in the Metro.

This move also reflects the NPHL’s ongoing commitment to ensuring our league is home to the most elite and passionate teams in senior hockey. The Ironmen have proven their caliber and now have the opportunity to showcase their talents on one of the country’s most exciting stages.

Celebrating Indigenous Representation

Beyond the boards, this moment carries profound cultural importance. The Ironmen will become the third Indigenous team in the NPHL, joining the Akwesasne Wild and the Deseronto Bulldogs, both of whom represent the Capital Division with pride and passion.

The inclusion of Six Nations further strengthens Indigenous representation in our league, and we are honored to provide a platform that celebrates the talent, resilience, and community spirit of First Nations hockey. Indigenous players and programs have long been at the heart of the sport's development in Canada, and their continued presence within the NPHL enriches the entire hockey landscape.

A League Evolving

As the league evolves, our mission remains clear: to foster the highest quality of hockey while embracing the communities, traditions, and cultures that make our game truly special. The addition of the Six Nations Ironmen reflects that vision in every way.

To the Ironmen: Welcome to the NPHL family. We can’t wait to see you hit the ice, forge new rivalries, and bring your relentless spirit to the Metropolitan Division. The puck drops soon—and the entire league is watching.

Stay tuned for scheduling updates, team previews, and special coverage as we prepare for what promises to be one of the most exciting seasons in NPHL history.
