2026 NPHL Champions – A Season Defined by Two Powers
The 2026 Northern Premier Hockey League season will be remembered as the year two dominant forces rose from opposite sides of the league and delivered championship-caliber performances that set a new standard.
On the Metropolitan side, the Alvinston Killer Bees didn’t just compete—they swarmed. In their inaugural NPHL campaign, a team already rooted in a deep hockey tradition brought relentless energy, grit, and community pride to every shift. The Bees played with pace, physicality, and a suffocating forecheck that overwhelmed opponents night after night. When the stakes climbed, so did their intensity.
By the time the championship was on the line, the outcome felt inevitable.
The Killer Bees captured the Metropolitan Championship in convincing fashion, cementing themselves as the benchmark franchise on their side of the league. Their identity was clear: fast, aggressive, and completely unforgiving. A team built not just to win—but to dominate.
On the Capital side, the Manotick Mariners carved out a championship run of their own, proving that structure, discipline, and execution still win titles. Competing in a conference stacked with experienced programs, the Mariners rose through a gauntlet of playoff hockey with composure and consistency.
Where others faltered under pressure, the Mariners thrived. Their game was built on skill, defensive accountability, and timely scoring—hallmarks of a team that understands how championships are actually won, not just talked about.
When it mattered most, they delivered.
The result: Capital Champions, and a team that earned every inch of it.
Two Champions. One Standard.
The 2026 season showcased exactly what the NPHL is becoming—a league where expansion teams can rise fast, where established programs refuse to fade, and where every division produces legitimate contenders.
The Killer Bees brought goaltending, speed, and raw momentum.
The Mariners brought structure, skill, and execution.
Different paths. Same destination.
And now, both organizations stand at the top of their respective sides as champions—setting the tone for what comes next in the NPHL.
